This week was very crazy for me, I had a big fundraising event at work. I worked over-time, in only four days, and let me tell ya, being pregnant, up on your feet working two 13 hour shifts is not fun! The event was a Hoedown, and it was a lot of fun, but by Saturday night I was completely spent. I didn’t think I was going to be able to make it up from my car to bed when I got home! My body was definitely telling me to slow down a little bit, so I think I need to start acting like I am pregnant…I have about one more month of work where I will be working full-time and then I think once October 15th comes around, I’ll be able to go down to part time, which will be very nice!
Ryan was up in Seattle visiting with his family and his brother Chris who came home for a few weeks from Afghanistan. I picked him up at the airport on Sunday, and I think the baby missed him because as soon as he heard his voice he was much more active and squirming around than he was all weekend! Maybe it was all in my head, but I think that is why…. :)
Both Ryan and I have decided that we will need up upgrade into a 2 bedroom before baby is born, so we have the fun-ness of moving, again, to look forward to! We will stay in our same apartment complex, just switching to a different unit. We personally, have purchased nothing for the nursery because we don’t really have the space for it yet, so once we are in a bigger place, we can start planning all that fun stuff!
I think I want to do a monster theme for the nursery, something like, Where the Wild Things Are (the book), but I haven’t completely decided; I am open to suggestions!!! I am not a huge fan of the generic nursery bedding I have seen in the stores (some of it is adorable don’t get me wrong…) so I have asked my mom and a family friend, Laura Estes, if they would make the bedding for me! I suppose I should come up with a theme soon so I can give them enough time to make it!!
So here is my plan, and like I said, I would love suggestions:
Blue and green would be the primary colors and yellow and red would be used as accents.
